Business Spotlight Interview with the Owner of Loads of Learning

As many homeschool parents are geared up for their children to start the new school year and looking for enriching learning material to develop their children for this upcoming school year, I was blessed with the opportunity to interview Malikah Muhammad of loadsoflearning.com . Parents will find so many inspirational ideas around teaching their children on her Instagram page.  I enjoy watching her fun videos. She discussed with me in the interview how her platform offers free worksheets and textbooks for pre-K  up to 12th grade. These free textbooks include subjects like math, spelling, vocabulary, and even science.  

Nadine Muhammad:  Please, would you tell our readers about yourself?

Malikah Muhammad: I'm Sister Malikah. I am a homeschooling mother of 7, as well as a language teacher for grades K-8 ELA and Spanish. In 2020 I created a website that would help homeschooling parents and teachers find learning tools and resources.

Nadine Muhammad: Share with us the story behind Loads of Learning: the inspiration for starting ,history, mission, and  purpose.

Malikah Muhammad: I was inspired to launch Loads of Learning at a time where parents and teachers alike were all scrambling to keep the learning process going. We were shut in and we were lacking resources. For many moms who never homeschooled before, had to cover down and jump into teaching head first. Having experience as a teacher and homeschooler, I'm aware of how difficult it can be. Load of Learning, came from the acronym that we all know too well. "LOL" In a time where many were experiencing large amounts of stress, and anxiety because of the known. What many thought would be a week off from school, turned into months. So as the stress built, educators and parents need relief. "LOL" came to be.
