I am grateful for this interview with professional football player, Chris Okoye, who played for the NFL, with the Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, and in The USFL,  Pittsburgh and New Orleans. Chris is also, an entrepreneur and author. He shared with me the story behind his very inspiring book, Extreme Gratitude leads to Happiness: How Gratitude, Accountability and Perspective will help lead you into Abundance.

Nadine Muhammad: Please, would you tell our readers about yourself?

Christopher Okoye:  I am Christopher Okoye, a man of God first, and secondly an author, athlete, and entrepreneur. I am deeply committed to servant leadership and embrace the role of a multifaceted individual who is always on a journey of self-improvement.
Nadine Muhammad: What is your motivation for writing your book, Extreme Gratitude leads to Happiness: How Gratitude, Accountability and Perspective will help lead you  into Abundance?

Christopher Okoye:  My motivation for Writing “Extreme Gratitude Leads to Happiness”: My motivation for writing “Extreme Gratitude Leads to Happiness” stems from my entire life’s journey and the pathway to success I’ve tread. I have always recognized that my mindset—particularly, my ability to remain grateful in the face of adversity—has been a crucial tool. This mindset of seeing every situation as an immense opportunity has empowered me to invest more energy and effort into maximizing those moments. The book is fundamentally about how perspective shapes our experiences: viewing life through a positive lens not only enriches our encounters but also propels us toward achieving our goals more effectively.

Nadine Muhammad: Would you tell us what your book is about?
Christopher Okoye:  “Extreme Gratitude Leads to Happiness” delves into the principle of leveraging and maximizing the blessings Allah (God)  has given us before we seek more. It’s a reflection on how often we focus on our lacks, which impedes our ability to receive more. Recognizing and being grateful for our current blessings is a stepping stone to achieving further goals. The essence of the book encourages readers to embrace gratitude for what they currently have, setting a foundation for abundance and further blessings.

Nadine Muhammad:  What are the benefits that readers will obtain from reading  your book, and how will their lives be transformed?

Christopher Okoye: Readers of “Extreme Gratitude Leads to Happiness” will discover the transformative power of gratitude. The book illustrates how adopting a gratitude mindset leads to a more fulfilled and successful life. It emphasizes that gratitude is not just a reactive emotion but a proactive approach to living that amplifies everything good in our lives. By focusing on what we have, rather than what we lack, we can attract more positivity and opportunities. Through practical advice and personal anecdotes, the book guides readers on how to cultivate an abundance mindset, encouraging them to appreciate small blessings and harness them for greater success and happiness.

Nadine Muhammad:  Thank you for sharing these powerful words on gratitude, and sharing the story behind your book.

Christopher Okoye:  Thank you so much for this opportunity. I am extremely grateful for it.
