Reading The Holy Qur'an
For the month of Ramadan, it is a period of prayer, fasting and the reading of The Holy Qur'an. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan states the following in a message on the Final Call Prayer Line” during the Month of Ramadan, 2010. "During this month of Ramadan, each day we are to read one-thirtieth (1/30) of the Qur’an so that by the end of Ramadan, we shall have completed the reading of the whole of the Holy Qur’an. This is a very special month of prayer and fasting and sacrifice that is prescribed by Allah (God) to give us the discipline necessary by forsaking the things that are natural: food, water, and, sexual relations with our spouses during the daylight hours" (Farrakhan, 2010).

Benefits of Fasting During The Month of Ramadan
There are many benefits to fasting during the month of Ramadan. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan provides some of the benefits of fasting during the Month of Ramadan in his prayer line message. He states, "Surely, if we can master hunger, and thirst, and the drive for sexual co-habitation throughout the hot days of summer, then it will be easier for us to leave off lying and stealing, gambling, the use of drugs, or anything that is unnatural that takes us away from the pure service and worship of Allah (God). So this Ramadan will be the Ramadan to break bad habits, and start to making new, good ones. Breaking the grip on those things that we thought had a hold on us that we couldn’t stop" (Farrakhan, 2010).
I pray to Allah (God) for the success of every Muslim who is planning to observe the Month of Ramadan this year. As a way to expand our vocabulary, and have a little righteous fun during the Month of Ramadan, I created a word search book, The Holy Qur'an Word Searches, from various surahs or chapters of The Holy Qur'an. The puzzle themes are from Al-Fatihah-The Opening to Al-Mumin-The Believer.
